How This Started
I spent ten years as a licensed real estate agent, then started buying houses myself. It was supposed to give me access to deals, to houses, to investing, to building something. What it gave me instead was a decade of getting good at helping people through the biggest decision of their lives.
But investing never left me. It was always there, underneath the transactions and the listings and the commission checks. The conversations with homeowners who needed options, not just a listing agreement. The properties that didn't fit the traditional market but were exactly what an investor needed. The gap between what the MLS offered and what real people actually needed.
Tennessee House Partners is the thing that was always supposed to happen. It just took the long way around.
Why We Do This Differently
The real estate investor industry has a reputation problem. Most investors lead with the three D's. Death, Divorce, Disaster, because that's where the motivated sellers are. That framing is accurate. It's also predatory.
